Basketball Playoffs
The first round matchups were underway first, and hard fought battles between the teams ranked 9-12 entertained the packed gymnasium. After the first round was done, Sports604 launched it's first ever Dunk competition on an 8.5" rim. The crowd was wow'd to start when Admir Hrbinic electrified the crowd and the judges for a perfect score on his between the legs dunk. Jason Hoang pulled off his cartwheel dunk to secure a spot in the final 2. Admir's height proved difficult to overcome as his Vince Carter "Forearm through the rim" dunk sealed the victory. The 2nd installment of Sports604 3 point shootout started off with a bang as almost everyone wanted to take part! Chris Carpio's sweet stroke, and Brian P's consistent shooting landed them both in the final two, where Chris sealed the deal for the victory.
The continuing rounds showed off some extremely competetive basketball, with the top 4 teams (Rottweilers, Trek, BiH Bombers and The Deejays) advancing to the semi-finals. Amidst controversy and some aggressive reffing, the Rottweilers were displaced by the upstart Deejays, and faced a very tough Trek team in the finals. Trek's athleticism and long distance shooting were too much, along with foul trouble for the Deejays, and the game was won on a Freethrow. A very exciting tournament indeed, and congrats to Trek, Chris Carpio and Admir Hrbinic on your victories!

A complete dunkis considered only if the ball is partway through the hoop while still touching the player's hand(s). Players are allowed to use props and gadgets.
If a player hangs on the rim, the dunk shall be given a score of ZERO (0). This rule is purely to protect the non-breakaway rims, so plan your dunks accordingly.
